AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for the “Registered Nurse – Elective Surgery – 36hrs – Night Shift” role in Detroit, MI, it’s important to consider the average hourly wage for registered nurses in the area and specifically those working in elective surgery or similar specialties. As of 2023, registered nurses in Michigan typically earn between $30 to $50 per hour, depending on experience, specialty, and shift differentials. Night shift positions often offer higher rates due to the added inconvenience of unsociable hours. If the hourly rate you have in mind falls within or slightly above this range, it would generally be considered competitive and aligned with industry standards. However, if it’s significantly lower, it may not attract qualified candidates, especially in a demanding specialty like elective surgery.
