AI Pay Analysis: To assess whether the hourly rate for a “DOT Lighting Technician” in Detroit, MI is competitive and aligns with industry standards, we can reference general salary data and job market trends for similar roles in the area. Typically, lighting technicians, particularly those involved with Department of Transportation (DOT) projects, can expect hourly rates ranging from $20 to $35, depending on experience, specific responsibilities, and regional demand. Given that Detroit’s cost of living and local job market could influence these figures, a competitive rate would ideally be within this range or higher, factoring in any special skills or certifications required. If the offered rate falls below this range, it may not attract skilled candidates, while rates at the higher end could indicate a premium for specialized skills or significant experience. Therefore, the competitiveness of the rate hinges on its alignment with these statistical benchmarks and the specific demands of the job.
