Job description:

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate Keyholder to join our team at the Briarwood Mall. The Sales Associate Keyholder is responsible for providing an exceptional in-store shopping experience for our customers while executing crucial opening and closing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute opening and closing procedures, including balancing registers, preparing deposits, and activating the security system.
  • Perform checkout overrides as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, checkout area, fitting room, and stockroom to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of associates and customers.
  • Assist in implementing product launch changes in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
  • Uphold all aspects of the customer experience model.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately to minimize customer wait times.
  • Effectively resolve customer service-related issues and determine appropriate resolutions, escalating matters to Store Management as needed.
  • Promote credit and loyalty member programs by explaining their benefits and encouraging customer participation.
  • Undertake other essential functions as directed by your supervisor.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant job experience, with a minimum of 6 months preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including iPads and registers.
  • Availability to meet defined criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
  • Capable of meeting physical requirements of the role.

Critical Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous retail experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and the capability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in interactions with customers and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well within a team setting.
