Job description:

We are seeking an Entry Level Field Service Technician specializing in printers and copiers, who possesses a strong understanding of Managed Print Services within clients’ print production environments. The ideal candidate will have the capability to identify, recommend, and implement effective technical repair and maintenance solutions for ARC customers. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the successful execution of field-based technical repairs and maintenance on both small and large format printers, facilitating optimal service delivery at customer sites. Additionally, the technician may be responsible for a range of administrative and technical support tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, assemble, and install both large and small format machines.
  • Accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software for small and large format printers, ensuring optimal performance in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Document service calls, including materials used and resolutions provided, within the Fleet Manager system.
  • Collaborate in new Facilities Management/MPS customer installations and removals to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage in customer site visits and meetings to conduct thorough site surveys.
  • Monitor and report inventory levels to prevent service interruptions.
  • Prepare and uphold operational reports to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Travel to customer locations for the installation, maintenance, and removal of equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests by diagnosing problems, executing repairs, and recommending solutions for customer hardware and software.
  • Uphold established departmental processes and propose procedural or policy improvements to enhance operations, such as supply chain modifications or equipment disposal.
  • Continuously enhance professional expertise through required training, re-certification, and participation in educational opportunities.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Provide customers with timely and clear communication regarding service-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities leading to positive outcomes.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, with experience in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) being advantageous.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
