At Great Wolf, the Retail and Attractions Supervisor plays a pivotal role in enhancing the family experience through effective management of daily retail and attractions operations. This leadership position is essential for executing business objectives, supporting team dynamics, and ensuring exceptional interactions with both guests and pack members, thereby driving profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of retail and attractions, including gift shops, arcade, attractions, and vending, ensuring adherence to lodge safety and service standards while completing all assigned tasks.
  • Offer regular coaching, encouragement, and recognition to pack members to foster a positive team environment.
  • Promote and uphold Great Wolf policies and procedures, collaborating with Department and Lodge leadership on performance management for the department and its team members.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating feedback to leadership when necessary.
  • Facilitate the effective communication and escalation of guest requests and concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Engage in staff scheduling, labor management, and forecasting to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings with retail and attractions team members, prioritizing daily goals and soliciting feedback.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing real-time coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Ensure retail outlets and attractions are well-organized and adequately stocked to meet daily operational demands while complying with safety regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for retail and attractions talent.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop and implement action plans focused on enhancing guest service and team engagement, as measured through NPS and eNPS metrics.
  • Partake in the performance management process for pack members, including employee reviews, corrective actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain operational quality by ensuring high service standards, optimal inventory levels, and performing equipment maintenance by troubleshooting or coordinating repairs where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of programs that ensure a safe facility, compliant with applicable regulations, including Ergonomics, Emergency Responses, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communications Programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures pertinent to the role.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a retail setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proven customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention, and team-building skills.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Desired Qualifications & Traits
