Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper/Floor Tech: Responsible for the maintenance of hard surface and carpet floors, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in various locations, such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public areas like dining rooms. Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and soiled linen appropriately.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear as required. Ensure safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions in compliance with all safety policies. Timely reporting of equipment needs or malfunctions is essential. Adhere to established safety and quality guidelines, and follow infection control and universal precautions.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, arrive punctually, and complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule. Respond promptly to the paging system.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by adhering to instructions and maintaining courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Ensure positive and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Possess a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine tasks consistently.
- After completing requisite training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must have reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds; prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and sitting may be necessary.
- Capacity to perform repetitive tasks without undue difficulty.
- Must work around food and cleaning products.
- Residence within the service area is required.
