Dining Room Server Position Summary

Dining Room Servers play a vital role in the Culinary department by delivering exceptional customer service to our residents, thereby enhancing their lives through innovative and creative culinary experiences. In this position, you will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for food, build meaningful relationships with residents and fellow team members, and refine your skills through hands-on training. Dining Room Server Required Skills/Abilities:
– A strong desire to positively impact others’ lives through exemplary customer service
– Enthusiasm for building relationships with our residents
– No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided
– Minimum age requirement of 16 years

Dining Room Server Preferred Skills/Abilities:
– Experience working with senior populations
– Background in customer service
– Preferred 2-3 years of experience in a commercial restaurant or club setting

Duties/Responsibilities:
– Delivering the highest quality of customer service to our residents
– Engaging with residents through effective communication and active observation
– Taking residents’ orders and serving meals and beverages
– Setting up and decorating dining room tables for meal times
– Cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, side stations, and other assigned areas
– Assisting in the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
– Transporting used dishes, waste, and linens to designated collection areas
– Completing daily task assignments to ensure all operations are executed properly
– Monitoring and recording refrigeration temperatures
– Memorizing residents’ names, special requests, and dietary needs
– Assisting with special events and catering functions throughout the community
– Providing meal delivery to residents’ rooms or remote locations as requested
– Performing other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director
