Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position include preparing and cooking food at a designated station, maintaining cleanliness in prep areas, and ensuring the kitchen is adequately stocked.
Responsibilities:
– Set up cooking stations and stock them with essential preparation supplies
– Prepare food on the line as needed, which includes cutting, mixing, chopping, and creating sauces
– Cook menu items on the line by grilling, frying, sautéing, and broiling in accordance with quality standards and established recipes
– Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards by utilizing and adhering to a restaurant cleaning checklist that complies with state and local food safety regulations
– Handle and store food safely and appropriately
– Conduct inventory counts before and after shifts and complete food inventory and storage documentation
– Demonstrate the ability to work weekends, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
