Position Summary

  • Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide: Support the Cook in meal preparation and service, placing food on plates/trays per tray tickets while adhering to established policies and procedures. Assist in food delivery, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen sanitation in compliance with health standards.
  • Safety: Utilize protective equipment as required, ensure proper mixing and usage of cleaning solutions, report any maintenance needs, and abide by safety and quality standards. Follow infection control and hygiene protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Exhibit consistent attendance and arrive on time, completing cleaning tasks as scheduled and responding promptly to paging systems.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and collaborating courteously with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Engage residents, staff, and facility guests with positive, respectful interactions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the capacity to follow both oral and written instructions, performing routine and repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Successfully complete training and exercise leadership skills autonomously, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and specialized training in food service is advantageous. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • ServSafe: Current ServSafe certification is mandated by State/County law.
  • A valid Food Handler’s card is required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
