Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper/Floor Technician: Responsible for the maintenance of hard and carpeted floors, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public spaces like dining rooms. Responsibilities also include collecting and disposing of trash, recycling, and soiled linen, as well as performing other outdoor custodial tasks as assigned.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear for designated functions. Ensure the appropriate mixing and application of cleaning solutions while adhering to safety protocols. Report equipment or product needs and malfunctions to a supervisor promptly. Maintain established safety and quality standards, following infection control and hygiene procedures to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Demonstrate consistent attendance with timely arrival and completion of assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule. Respond promptly to page alerts.
- Customer Experience: Positively represent HCSG by adhering to directives and maintaining courteous relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Facilitate positive, respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated positive attitude with the capability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
- Upon completing all necessary training, possess the ability to achieve responsibilities independently while ensuring safety.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, and/or customer regulations.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including pushing/pulling and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Capacity to complete routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
- Residence within the service area is required.
