Position Summary

  • Laundry Worker: Responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linen into washing machines and loading clean linens into dryers. Duties include folding clean linens, recording daily processed linen quantities, making proper deliveries to units, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including machines, work tables, and sorting areas.
  • Safety: Utilize protective gear for all appropriate functions and ensure safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions, adhering to all safety protocols. Responsible for timely reporting of equipment or cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors, while consistently meeting established safety and quality guidelines. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment and adhere to proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures.
  • Punctuality: Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. Respond promptly to the paging system as needed.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Maintain positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • Following appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must maintain reliable attendance and timeliness as scheduled.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as mandated by state, local, and customer requirements is required.
  • Capability to lift or carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods is necessary.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously is required.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residency in the service area is required.
