AI Pay Analysis: To effectively analyze the hourly rate for a Systems Engineer role in Grand Rapids, MI, it is essential to compare it against local and national industry standards. As of my last data update, the average hourly rate for a Systems Engineer typically ranges from $30 to $60 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, education, and specialty areas within systems engineering. Grand Rapids may present slightly lower averages compared to larger tech hubs like Detroit or Chicago, but competitive rates should reflect the cost of living and demand for engineering talent in the region. If the offered rate falls within or above this range, it would be considered competitive; otherwise, adjustments may be necessary to attract qualified candidates. Always check current market trends and industry reports to ensure an accurate assessment.
