Job description:
The Secondary Marketing Analyst will be tasked with a diverse range of responsibilities within the Secondary Marketing department. Key duties include the creation and distribution of rate sheets, conducting routine and ad hoc reporting, performing competitive analysis, maintaining relationships with product and pricing engines, and supporting product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate self-motivation, independent working capabilities, and strong analytical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and overseeing the daily rate sheet process.
- Compiling daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Collaborating with Product and Pricing Engines to ensure accurate pricing at UWM.
- Utilizing strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Streamlining processes to enhance efficiency.
- Engaging in cross-training opportunities with other Secondary teams, such as Product Development and Mortgage Insurance.
- Assisting with various ad-hoc reporting requests as they arise.
- Contributing to special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, or related fields is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of PIVOT tables, vLookups, and other analytical functions.
- Experience in reporting with SQL Server Management Studio or Hyperion.
- A meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively while taking ownership of tasks.
- Strong drive, self-motivation, and reliability.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, ideally with an understanding of the mortgage process and market.
- Familiarity with QRM is preferred.
