We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to safeguard our systems from cyber threats through vigilant monitoring and threat remediation. This position will also involve supporting the implementation and management of cyber security policies, data loss prevention strategies, vulnerability assessments, incident management, and security tool management. This role is based in Livonia, MI.

As a Cyber Security Analyst II, your responsibilities will include:

– Managing the SIEM solution and effectively identifying, triaging, and addressing cyber security alerts.
– Leading the security and compliance implementation for MS-365, ensuring that security requirements are met.
– Defining technical and business processes and policies regarding data protection strategies, while implementing a DLP solution to ensure security, privacy, and integrity.
– Conducting vulnerability assessments and remediations, and coordinating with technical teams to advocate for proper remediation responses.
– Auditing endpoint and server patching processes to pinpoint gaps and collaborating with technical teams to resolve issues.
– Monitoring the corporate network for security threats and breaches, and addressing any detected anomalies or breaches.
– Performing network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis utilizing various tools, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, NAC, EDR, DLP, Cisco Umbrella, and host-based security tools.
– Leading security incident investigations, serving as a subject matter expert during cyber incident responses, and working with technical teams to ensure comprehensive resolution.
– Researching the latest cyber security trends and remediation strategies.
– Facilitating cyber security education and conducting simulated phishing tests.

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications:

– A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
– U.S. citizenship or permanent residency to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
– A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system or related cybersecurity monitoring solutions, with proven success in driving remediation based on SIEM outputs.
– At least 5 years of experience with cloud-delivered commercial and government-based solutions such as Microsoft M365 E5/Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform, along with experience in IT backup and disaster recovery systems.
– Proficiency in NIST CSF, 800-171, CMMC, MS-365 Security & Compliance, DLP, SIEM, CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella, incident management, and network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
– Familiarity with firewalls, switches, servers (Windows, Linux), and databases.
– Understanding of SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage), as well as concepts and configurations related to LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) including routing, cabling, VPN, and ISPs.
– Capability to act effectively as a technical resource in annual disaster recovery testing initiatives.
– Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and team members, complemented by strong leadership and organizational abilities.

Preferred qualifications include:

– A Master’s degree in business or information technology, or a related field.
– A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in supporting, securing, and maintaining networks, servers, and cloud environments.
– Relevant certifications in information security such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
– Experience in system installation, configuration, analysis, and capacity planning, in addition to performance monitoring techniques and tools.
– Familiarity with network performance monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds or Nagios.
– Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
– Proficiency with project management and diagramming applications, such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
