JLL is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to be part of our expanding Retail Property Management team at RiverTown Crossings as a Retail Marketing Manager. In this role, you will implement local marketing and event initiatives while fostering community relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

Marketing Strategy Development & Management

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing budget to support the marketing plan; continuously monitor and adjust the budget as necessary to align with year-end projections.
  • Analyze sales and statistical data, conduct financial reporting, manage public relations, facilitate media buying, and oversee both traditional and digital media management, ensuring thorough documentation of program results along with general administrative tasks.
  • Design the annual marketing plan for the property based on the center’s strategic objectives.

Marketing Strategy Implementation

  • Create and execute sales promotions, special events, and communication strategies aimed at enhancing tenant sales; partner with retailers where appropriate.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with tenants to optimize individual store sales through effective retailer communications, sales promotions, and visual merchandising, particularly with key retailers.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Marketing Manager to initiate and implement relevant corporate programs.
  • Manage the center’s digital media initiatives (social media, mobile, web) effectively.
  • Leverage market and consumer research to shape the center’s marketing plan and bolster leasing efforts.
  • Work closely with the Leasing team to compile pertinent information and produce compelling sales materials.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the trade area, including competitive properties, market demographics, and available media outlets.
  • Collaborate with Specialty Leasing to identify and implement local and corporate ancillary income opportunities to enhance revenue generation for the property.
  • Review monthly sales reports to stay informed on retailer performance and market trends.
  • Actively engage in community activities, representing both the property and JLL professionally.
  • Develop an ongoing public relations action plan as needed; issue press releases and track publicity efforts.
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures for all programs and events.
  • Complete special assignments as directed by the General Manager and/or Regional Marketing Manager.

Provide Superior Client Service

  • Collaborate with property teams and regional resources to achieve client-driven business objectives, ensuring adherence to JLL’s Core Practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and regional team members as required, providing updates that may include sales narratives, key retailer reports, and marketing results for leasing, sales, and alternative revenue initiatives.

Leadership, Motivation and Development

  • Participate on Jones Lang LaSalle task forces as assigned by the Regional Marketing Manager.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and career development support to employees throughout the year to assist in achieving performance goals and advancing professional skills.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Center, if applicable.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail, marketing, advertising, or a comparable field is required.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience is preferred.
  • Event planning experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in promoting events through social media is beneficial.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in computer applications, with a solid understanding of marketing fundamentals and research methodologies (required).
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written), along with experience in special event coordination and management, and demonstrated ability to multitask (required).
  • Sales and negotiation skills are a plus (required).
  • Proven experience in budget management is essential (required).
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings (required).
  • A strong team player is essential (required).
  • Experience in shopping centers is preferred but not mandatory.
