MongoDB DBA
We are seeking a proficient MongoDB Database Administrator with extensive experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of large and complex databases across multiple MongoDB versions, including 3.4, 4.0, 4.4, and 6.0. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and monitoring MongoDB multi-sharded clusters using Ops Manager, coupled with hands-on experience in performing Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) operations.

Key responsibilities include the creation and management of replica sets (including Arbiter, Priority, Hidden, and Delayed nodes) along with sharded clusters in MongoDB. The candidate should possess expertise in upgrading MongoDB versions on various platforms and effectively managing multi-node MongoDB clusters. The role encompasses the development of aggregation queries for reporting and analysis, as well as the creation of various index types including Single-Field, Compound, Unique, Multi-key, Text, and Hashed Sharding indices.

Responsibilities further include data backup and recovery using tools such as Mongo Dump, Restore, and Mongo Export/Import, as well as refreshing MongoDB data from staging to production and vice versa. The successful candidate will also focus on MQL query tuning and optimization, ensuring effective index creation for enhanced processing efficiency.

Administrative duties such as maintenance, performance analysis, and capacity planning are essential. The DBA must assure the continuous availability of our mission-critical MongoDB clusters through replication across data centers and implement performance tuning and indexing strategies utilizing tools like Mongostat and Mongotop. Installation and management of OPSManager for MongoDB are also required.

DB2 LUW DBA
Additionally, we require a seasoned DB2 Database Administrator with robust experience in providing 24/7 production environment support. Responsibilities will include DB2 installations, fix pack upgrades, and the creation of instances and databases, as well as the migration and upgrades of DB2 11.5 from prior versions. The candidate will be responsible for building HADR servers, implementing TSA installation, and managing failovers and rolling upgrades.

Hands-on experience in DB2 DPF environments (including Backup and Restore), creating and scheduling jobs (e.g., Backups, Runstats, Reorgs, and Tablespace monitoring) is essential. The candidate should be well-versed in using DB2 tools such as db2look, db2pd, db2move, Load, Export, and Import. Additional responsibilities include enabling archive logging, configuring database backups to disk, and troubleshooting database issues using tools such as db2diag, db2dart, and db2support snapshots.

The DBA will manage user permissions by granting and revoking authorizations for various users and groups, analyze SQL queries with db2advis, and create the necessary indexes based on requirements. Familiarity with IBM CDC replication tools (Change Data Capture) and a solid understanding of shell scripting are desirable. Experience in problem and change management processes, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills, are critical for success in this role.

Additionally, knowledge of Sybase and PostgreSQL database administration, along with experience in Oracle DB upgrades, will be considered an asset.
