Job description:
As a Maintenance Team Leader on the day shift, you will be responsible for organizing schedules and assigning tasks related to the upkeep and repair of production equipment, encompassing daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance activities. You will collaborate closely with production management and the maintenance teams to ensure that the facility meets operational standards. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in coaching and developing Maintenance Technicians with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental sustainability. This permanent position will report to the Maintenance Manager and will include, but is not limited to, the following essential functions:

– Regularly maintain and service plant equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operating conditions.
– Develop and enhance preventative maintenance programs aimed at minimizing equipment failures and boosting overall efficiency.
– Supervise maintenance personnel, providing directed oversight and professional guidance in their daily tasks.
– Coordinate and manage facility and utility outages, as well as oversee upgrades to ensure uninterrupted operations.
– Identify plant-related issues and formulate effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
– Conduct audits to verify that all procedures are followed in accordance with established standard operating protocols.
– Provide performance coaching to Maintenance Technicians, facilitating their professional development and enhancing job performance.
– Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams, business partners, and clients through clear, honest, and transparent communication.

The Skills you will bring to the team include:

– An Associate’s Degree in maintenance or a related field, or a minimum of two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business literature, professional publications, technical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
– Strong computer skills, including familiarity with electronic mail, record keeping, routine database functions, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
– A commitment to adhering to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Additional responsibilities will include:

– Performing other duties as assigned.
– Providing after-hours assistance in the event of plant outages or emergencies.
