Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Room Attendant responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and timely upkeep of assigned guest rooms and public/common areas to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of hotel guest rooms and public/common areas in accordance with the standards set by the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines.
  • Keep storage areas and housekeeping carts well-stocked, organized, and clean.
  • Perform laundry duties as required.
  • Review daily supply inventory to ensure all assignments are completed.
  • Execute cleaning tasks for hotel rooms, which include but are not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, emptying wastebaskets, changing bed linens, maintaining kitchenettes (if applicable), and cleaning lobby and common areas.
  • Ensure compliance with standards regarding the placement of guest amenities, displays, and informational cards.
  • Report any repair requests needed for guest rooms and common areas to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Properly log, track, and secure lost and found items.
  • Provide assistance to team members as needed prior to the end of the shift.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including holidays, may be required.
  • Full compliance with all rules and regulations is mandatory.
  • No formal training is required.
  • Prior experience in safety material handling and cleaning procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Capacity to handle hazardous materials, including bodily waste and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance.
