Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Trim and/or remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
• Operate and service all necessary tools and equipment.
• Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
• Spray areas with equipment to inhibit further growth.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Feed brush and debris into a wood chipper.
• Repair minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Service gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.
• Relay hand signals, direct traffic, and operate trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Collaborate with customers, police, and fire departments when obstructing streets or driveways.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect employees and the public.
• Receive training to perform tree and bucket rescues.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Ensure the inspection and proper working condition of all tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Request repairs or replacements when necessary.
• Maintain good housekeeping on the truck and at work locations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must not have a fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
• Capable of walking, climbing, and working from ladders at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, while handling equipment or materials in mentally and physically demanding conditions.
• Proficient in working with hands above head for extended periods.

Education & Experience:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required.
• Previous experience is considered a plus.

Pre-Screen Requirements:

• Candidates may be required to complete and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check upon acceptance of an offer.

License & Certifications:

• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

Travel Requirements:

• Candidates must have their own transportation to and from the designated work location.
