Job Description
Job Title: Police Cadet
Company: City of Auburn Hills
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay: $17 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $17 for a Police Cadet in Auburn Hills, MI, appears to be on the lower end compared to the industry standards for similar roles in law enforcement across the United States. While cadet positions often start with lower hourly wages, typically ranging from $15 to $20 per hour depending on the region and local funding, many departments offer starting rates closer to $20 to attract candidates. In Michigan, compensation can vary widely based on the jurisdiction’s budget and the cadet’s experience level. Therefore, while $17 may be competitive for entry-level positions, it may not sufficiently reflect the responsibilities associated with law enforcement training and could potentially impact recruitment efforts in a competitive labor market.
