Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Tech: Responsible for the maintenance of hard surfaces and carpets, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Duties include collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linens, ensuring proper disposal, and undertaking additional outdoor responsibilities as assigned.
- Safety: Utilize personal protective gear as required, ensuring the safe and effective mixing and application of cleaning solutions, while promptly reporting any maintenance needs or malfunctions to supervisors. Adhere to established safety and quality standards, and follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time, completing assigned cleaning tasks according to the established schedule and responding to the paging system promptly.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by adhering to instructions, and maintaining courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience: Foster positive and respectful relationships with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions, performing routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After completing the necessary training, apply leadership skills to meet responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must maintain a reliable attendance record and arrive at work as scheduled.
- Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, or customer guidelines.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and remain active through prolonged standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
- Capable of performing routine tasks continuously and working in proximity to food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is required.
