Job description:
A Housekeeper is primarily tasked with maintaining clean and aesthetically pleasing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas throughout the hotel. This role involves servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, ensuring carts are stocked with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities, all while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the role may encompass conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within guest rooms alongside preventive maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact successfully with guests and team members.
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in evaluating and selecting the best course of action promptly and accurately.
- Capable of performing well in high-pressure and stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling adjusted to meet hotel needs.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty.
- Consistently comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms per shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart setup.
- Remove all trash and soiled linens from guest rooms.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Occasionally disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms as needed to conduct deep cleaning.
- Engage in deep cleaning tasks, which may include changing AC filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, addressing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
