GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position involves providing essential administrative and clerical support in a medical setting, focusing on customer service to assist patients and clients effectively. Key responsibilities include:
– Greeting patients and visitors, managing check-in and check-out processes, and acquiring all necessary documentation while verifying and entering demographic information.
– Obtaining and confirming insurance authorizations and precertifications, processing medical record release requests, and scheduling or confirming patient appointments.
– Entering, reviewing, and submitting charges for patient services and procedures on a daily basis, as well as collecting co-payments and reconciling daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
– Delivering general office and clerical support within the designated area.
Schedule: 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday
Location: Southfield, MI
EDUCATION:
– High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of one year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience is required.
