The Farmington Hills, MI facility, established in 2005, spans 50,000 square feet and employs approximately 150 team members. Shift Details: DET – Shift 1 (United States of America – Michigan)

Position Overview
The Operations Technician, Blasting is responsible for inspecting incoming products, determining their approval or rejection status, and preparing them for the coating process. This role involves applying protective tape, blasting designated areas, and ensuring meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all required training programs.
• Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and tables for the safe transport of products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, and any abnormalities to the department Supervisor or Lead.
• Adhere to established safety rules and regulations.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using various measuring tools such as calipers, comparators, pin gauges, and surface plates as required.
• Perform weekly housekeeping in accordance with the 5S schedule.
• Follow work orders to complete operations on various parts and products.
• Reinforce safety expectations and ensure compliance with safety practices. Report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor.
• Contribute to quality assurance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and documentation consistent with the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Employ fine motor skills and keen eyesight to inspect incoming products, apply protective tape, blast areas for coating, and prepare products for the final inspection phase.

Educational Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience Qualifications

• No prior work experience required (Preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing (Preferred)
• Familiarity with FDA regulatory environments (Preferred)
