Job description:

Shift: Part-Time Days (7 AM – 3:30 PM)
Position Summary:
The role entails upholding established cleaning standards, which encompass mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, trash removal, and changing linens. Responsibilities include documenting the completion of assignments and identifying safety hazards, as well as stocking supplies and participating in staff and guest relations. Attendance at meetings is also required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Clean patient areas and change linens following patient discharge, which includes:
    • Dusting and scrubbing patient rooms, ancillary areas, operating rooms, and lounges
    • Cleaning bath and shower facilities
    • Removing waste from the premises
    • Mopping and vacuuming floors
    • Responding to emergency calls for unplanned clean-ups
    • Stocking clean and soiled utility rooms, isolation cupboards, carts, and dispensers
    • Replenishing soap and paper supplies
    • Removing soiled linens from hampers
    • Cleaning equipment and carts for the following shift and restocking the housekeeping closet
    • Completing daily worksheets and reporting safety hazards or necessary repairs
    • Cleaning offices
    • Assisting in the training of new staff members
    • Performing other department-related duties as assigned
    • Collecting medical and pharmaceutical waste
