In your role as a Customer Service Associate, you will greet customers upon their arrival at Lowe’s and assist them in identifying the products and services that best meet their home improvement needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers throughout the day, helping with product selection, loading merchandise when necessary, and ensuring all customer inquiries are addressed.

Your daily tasks may vary depending on the department in which you work, as Customer Service Associates are assigned to specific areas based on hiring needs and individual skill sets. The departments include, but are not limited to: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly and professional assistance.
• Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
• Restock shelves by replenishing supplies in empty areas.
• Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of merchandise by customers.
• Cross-train in various store areas to enhance customer service delivery.
• Prepare department-specific merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, etc.).
• Assist customers through the shopping or checkout process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Six months of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Six months of experience with common retail technologies, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to perform duties that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other physical activities as necessary.
• Capability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in retail and/or customer service settings.
• Bilingual skills.
• Certification in a trade relevant to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
