The Security Officer II is responsible for conducting both patrol and standing posts, safeguarding and transporting company funds, and responding to potential emergencies—including medical incidents, disturbances, and requests for assistance. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and overall experience of Gun Lake Casino Resort guests, team members, and vendors, while upholding the Four Diamond Standards of Gun Lake Casino Resort.

In this role, you will:
- Respond to and assist with all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical situations, and criminal activities.
- Patrol and monitor all public areas, team member service zones, and company premises to ensure guest and team member safety.
- Enforce relevant laws, policies, and procedures with a working knowledge of security protocols.
- Address disturbances to de-escalate situations, maintaining readiness for potential physical intervention if required.
- Remain vigilant, observing and reporting suspicious or unusual activities as directed by your supervisor.
- Safeguard and transport company funds, including slot drops, table fills, and kiosk runs.
- Accurately document incidents as instructed by your immediate supervisor.
- Provide escort services to team members to and from their vehicles upon request and assist with jump-starting vehicles if necessary.
- Maintain a daily log, including time checks.
- Conduct exterior patrols across the property, encompassing surface parking, the parking structure, hotel lots, and the Administration building, both by vehicle and on foot.
- Foster a collaborative environment by supporting fellow team members and promoting a positive, energized workplace.
- Engage with guests courteously and handle any guest-related opportunities with professionalism.
- Be knowledgeable about the locations of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) booklets pertinent to your area.
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management, both in writing and verbally.
- Uphold excellent grooming and uniform standards.

- Execute other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential qualifications include:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or emergency medical services is advantageous.
- Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is also preferred.
- Ability to obtain a gaming license from the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission and an Alcohol Awareness Card (TIPS) is necessary.
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record Check is required.
- A valid and unrestricted Driver’s License is mandatory.
- CPR/AED certification is required; training will be provided by Gun Lake Casino Resort if needed.
- Availability to work under challenging conditions, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to testify in court both on and off duty.
Physical requirements involve:
- Normal vision capability, including the ability to perceive color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment effectively.
- Capacity to subdue individuals during altercations if necessary.
