Position Summary

  • Department Manager: Oversee and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a designated site, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations. Lead teams in executing light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide responsibilities during various shifts.
  • Training & Development: Facilitate staff training, quality control, and in-service education. Coordinate project completion within established timelines while conducting regular building tours for quality assessments, documented via QCIs.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Communication: Act as the liaison between building occupants or administrators and HCSG staff, effectively relaying directives and information.
  • Safety: Ensure adherence to safety practices, including appropriate handling of cleaning solutions. Promptly report any equipment or supply needs, maintaining established safety and quality guidelines.
  • Punctuality: Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality while completing assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Customer Experience: Uphold a positive representation of HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Foster positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks consistently.
  • After completing all necessary training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities autonomously and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in environmental services within a healthcare setting, along with personnel supervision, is desired.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as mandated by local and state regulations, is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull similar weight, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to perform routine and repetitive tasks continuously and work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area is a requirement.
