Job description:
Select and gather products for customers’ online orders with a focus on efficiency, freshness, and quality. Assemble online orders, process coupons and payments, and deliver and load orders into customer vehicles upon their arrival for pick-up. Ensure a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to return to online shopping. Key Responsibilities:
– As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk functioning as an In-Store Grocery Shopper, efficiently select and gather products for customers’ online orders while maintaining a strong emphasis on freshness and quality.
– Initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ online orders.
– Assemble customer orders, process payments, and deliver orders to vehicles when customers arrive for pick-up, ensuring all items are handled with care.
– Scan and bag orders on the go, adhering strictly to all bagging standards.
– Communicate any substitutions or exceptions regarding customer orders at the time of pick-up as part of the E-Commerce team.
– Consistently meet or exceed customer expectations regarding shopping ease, product variety, freshness, and store cleanliness.
– Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal laws, along with food safety procedures and company guidelines.
– Receive customer orders from the Order Selector, ensuring proper storage in optimal temperature zones.
– Read and follow instructions provided in the notes section of orders.
– Ensure the quality and freshness of all selected items.
– Communicate with customers using a portable device, responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
– Retrieve orders from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load orders into customers’ vehicles.
– Provide an exceptional customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
– Process transactions through the point of sale (POS) system accurately.
– Follow established policies and procedures to determine suitable substitutions for out-of-stock items.
– Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
– Report discrepancies in pricing, scanning, and item locations, as well as any issues with equipment, to the store’s e-Commerce supervisor.
– Conduct inspections of equipment and notify management of necessary repairs.
– Execute required opening and closing procedures.
– Assist in the training of new e-Commerce team members.
– Meet or exceed established productivity standards.
– Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment.
– Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner.
– Uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
– Follow directions and seek assistance as necessary to resolve customer and business issues.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
– Ability to work independently without supervision.
– Proficient in reading shelf tags.
– Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
– Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Previous Experience:
– Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or working as a cashier.
