Job description:

DanceBUG is seeking skilled photographers to document captivating dance performances with artistry and technical proficiency. This position entails capturing high-quality images, overseeing data management, and traveling to various events across the United States from February to June 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture well-composed images of dancers while adjusting camera settings for optimal results.
  • Manage and process data using proprietary software on a provided laptop.
  • Upload and/or ship data as required.
  • Maintain clear communication with your assigned Coach, Managers, and Onsite Contacts.
  • Travel to events nationwide.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Photographer.
  • Proven experience in shooting dance, live-action events, sports, concerts, or theater performances.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in low-light environments.
  • Proficient in adjusting camera settings (exposure, white balance, ISO, etc.) in real-time.
  • Capable of managing data and working extended “production” hours.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Willingness to travel on Thursdays and Mondays, with a commitment to work from Fridays through Sundays.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Two professional-level DSLR camera bodies (mirrorless preferred).
  • Two of the following lenses (f/2.8 or f/4.0), compatible with both camera bodies:
    • 24-70
    • 24-105
    • 24-120
    • 70-200
  • Two or more camera batteries and a charger.
  • Monopod.
  • Four memory cards with a minimum storage capacity of 64GB.
