Job description:

Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $18.44 per hour

Basic Purpose and Scope:
The Spice/Prep I position is responsible for preparing raw ingredients and spices necessary for scheduled production.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Operate safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies at all times.
  • Weigh ingredients and spices according to recipes (75% of duties).
  • Operate a forklift as needed to retrieve supplies from dry storage, cooler, or freezer (20% of duties).
  • Utilize a data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability, employing FIFO methods for ingredient usage (5% of duties).
  • Adhere to Food Safety policies and promptly report any concerns regarding food safety and quality to a supervisor.
  • Collaborate closely with the Coordinator to determine job requirements for each shift.
  • Ensure produced products consistently meet customer and quality specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of ingredient and spice codes and usage.
  • Ensure a clean work area and actively participate in housekeeping throughout the facility.
  • Be available for overtime and weekend work as necessary.
  • Meet attendance requirements and adhere to scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other activities and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: None required.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and professionally.
