Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $18.44 per hour
Basic Purpose and Scope:
The Spice/Prep I position is responsible for preparing raw ingredients and spices necessary for scheduled production.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies at all times.
- Weigh ingredients and spices according to recipes (75% of duties).
- Operate a forklift as needed to retrieve supplies from dry storage, cooler, or freezer (20% of duties).
- Utilize a data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability, employing FIFO methods for ingredient usage (5% of duties).
- Adhere to Food Safety policies and promptly report any concerns regarding food safety and quality to a supervisor.
- Collaborate closely with the Coordinator to determine job requirements for each shift.
- Ensure produced products consistently meet customer and quality specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of ingredient and spice codes and usage.
- Ensure a clean work area and actively participate in housekeeping throughout the facility.
- Be available for overtime and weekend work as necessary.
- Meet attendance requirements and adhere to scheduled shifts.
- Perform other activities and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- Certifications: None required.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and professionally.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the capability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret weights and measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.
