Job description:
This role is designed to support the National Accounts Team in executing essential customer processes required by our agreements and critical to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities encompass the execution of customer selection, problem-solving to address both customer and SpartanNash needs, and serving as a liaison between the customer and internal teams. Our customer agreements delineate the performance expectations for both parties, aimed at minimizing the risk of product becoming unsaleable in a SpartanNash warehouse and ensuring smooth operations for our customers. This position acts as a dedicated resource to efficiently manage daily, weekly, and monthly processes. The execution of these processes, along with associated analyses and reports, will be utilized by various stakeholders to ensure the seamless functioning of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

– Gather and assemble data from multiple sources.
– Analyze data utilizing predefined logic.
– Generate internal and external reports.
– Identify inaccuracies in analyses stemming from logical flaws, data omissions, or incorrect inputs.
– Conduct reasonableness tests on analysis outcomes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Investigate and perform root cause analyses when discrepancies are found, often involving collaboration with internal departments such as buyers, demand planners, category managers, National Accounts, and Finance, as well as external partners.
– Investigate business process issues or customer behavior insights that could present financial risks or new sales opportunities for SpartanNash or our clients.
– Recommend and implement refinements to current analytical and reporting practices aimed at:
– Enhancing efficiency in analysis and reporting execution,
– Improving analysis accuracy,
– Aligning more closely with the needs of other business functions or customers to enhance process efficiency.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

– A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
– 2-3+ years of experience in a relevant analytical role.
– A natural curiosity and strong desire to uncover and resolve problems.
– Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Power BI is preferred.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Project management capabilities and attention to detail, demonstrating an aptitude for defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing conclusions, and providing clear recommendations.
– Advanced knowledge of analytical techniques to extract insights from extensive data sets, addressing complex and ambiguous business challenges with exceptional business acumen.
– Ability to effectively present information through compelling visualizations, focusing on conveying impactful narratives.
– Excellent time management skills.
