Job description:
Position Summary:
The Software Solution Senior plays a pivotal role within the Client Accounting Advisory Services team, tasked with the design, development, and implementation of high-quality accounting software solutions. This position necessitates a robust technical background, strong leadership abilities, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with cross-functional teams, delivering innovative software solutions tailored to client needs. The Software Solution Senior will also serve as a mentor and guide to associate team members.
Must have Sage Intacct Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
- Leading the design and development of accounting software modules or applications while ensuring compliance with coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborating with product managers and business analysts to gather software requirements and translate these into comprehensive technical designs.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices to effectively design and implement software solutions for accounting workflows.
- Providing training to end users on software features and functionalities.
- Preparing detailed documentation, including user manuals, guides, and training materials to support software implementation and usage.
- Offering ongoing technical support to clients through various channels including phone, email, and remote access, utilizing the support ticketing system (Issuetrak).
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to define and execute software testing strategies, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of accounting software solutions.
- Remaining informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in accounting software to contribute to the continuous enhancement of software offerings.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to accounting software implementation, data integration, and system performance.
- Working closely with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize software features and enhancements based on client needs and market dynamics.
- Participating in the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, estimation, planning, and release management.
- Conducting software demonstrations, creating pricing quotes, and drafting engagement letters.
- Assisting with Software Vendor invoice processing and allocations for client billing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May supervise subordinate team members.
Work Environment:
- The position is conducted in a professional office setting with minimal distractions.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working in front of a computer screen for extended durations.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be necessary based on client needs, which can be unpredictable.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, accounting information systems, or significant hands-on experience in accounting system implementation.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Current proficiency and technological expertise in using Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- An advanced degree or relevant professional certifications is preferred.
