Job description:

The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing account management and sales activities while ensuring an exceptional customer service experience. This position involves active collaboration and communication with Acima retail partners to process credit applications, including those turned down and online orders, converting them into Acima credit customers. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for reviewing lease applications, promoting Acima’s leasing benefits to customers, and driving sales conversions. This role will be executed within one of our partner retail store locations.

Compensation for the Assistant Store Manager is hourly, adhering to Acima’s established payroll procedures. In addition to the base hourly rate, the Assistant Store Manager may qualify for various performance-based bonus and incentive programs, contingent upon active employment status and fulfillment of additional established requirements, unless otherwise dictated by applicable local or state law. The expected pay range is between $15.00 and $16.49 per hour, plus potential monthly bonuses based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Account Management

  • Drive customer growth through diverse channels, including web, partner stores, and walk-ins.
  • Actively listen to, identify, and address customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Educate customers on Lease-To-Own terms, payment structures, benefits, and the overall application process.
  • Close the sales cycle by converting lease applications from both in-store and online orders.
  • Collaborate effectively with Acima partner stores on all operational aspects.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Store Manager regarding store activities and team performance.

Customer Service

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with retail store personnel to generate customer referrals and enhance education on the Lease-To-Own process.
  • Swiftly address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints to uphold a high standard of customer satisfaction and service.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes coworker retention and minimizes turnover.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with the rental or leasing industry is advantageous.
