Job description:

A non-profit organization is seeking Activities Coordinators to aid in the comprehensive planning, implementation, and execution of recreational, social, intellectual, educational, and fundraising activities. The position requires availability Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional nights and weekends throughout the year, which will be scheduled well in advance. The organization is looking to fill two positions: one will be based at the Lakewood location, while the other will alternate between the Lakewood and Bay Village facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, develop, and organize a comprehensive schedule of programs and activities for residents and community members.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director in tracking expenses and revenue associated with all activities, and conduct annual evaluations of these activities.
  • Work alongside the Executive Director to ensure the availability of funds necessary for the implementation and execution of activities.
  • Manage and maintain all retail spaces open to the public.
  • Organize and coordinate volunteer activities that support event planning, and oversee the scheduling and management of all related stores and shops.
  • Attend regularly scheduled supervisory meetings, weekly team meetings, monthly team meetings, and monthly full staff meetings.
  • Lift, move, set up, and dismantle tables, furniture, and event displays; assist with occasional weekend programs and social projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge or experience in event planning.
  • An organized, compassionate, and energetic team player, with an understanding of the needs of older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable with public speaking and social media engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Canva.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple social projects simultaneously.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to make occasional trips using a personal vehicle.
