Job Overview
You will perform master-level HVAC work while supervising a diverse group of Air Quality workers in HVAC-related tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Execute pipefitting tasks and install, repair, adjust, or modify various types of refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment. Responsibilities include replacing or repairing supporting systems such as electrostatic filters, pneumatic and electric controls (including their calibration), utility meters, pumps, and fan motors. You will also install and repair steam lines, expansion joints, traps, regulators, bearings, and valves.
  • Plan, implement, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure proper assembly and compliance with technical orders, blueprints, specifications, handbooks, and established procedures, while maintaining safe operational standards.
  • Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and layouts to determine materials needed and time required for tasks; prepare cost estimates; compile reports, requisitions, work orders, inventory lists, and project reports/records.
  • May be required to act as a lead worker, providing supervision, instruction, and training to semi-skilled and skilled Air Quality workers and tradespeople. Assist the supervisor in work allocation, review and evaluation of work performance, training of new personnel, and coordination with other trades.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area as required.

Required Education

  • An approved certificate from an accredited related apprenticeship program.
  • Alternatively, two (2) years of relevant work experience or other specialized training may be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

  • Must possess an EPA refrigeration certificate.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
