Job Summary:
The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, specifically within the Bistro at the hotel.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a hotel or related field.
- Exceptional communication skills are required to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
- Capability to perform well in high-pressure and stressful situations.

- Proficiency in working with financial information and conducting basic arithmetic.

Job Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain a regular attendance record in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as dictated by the hotel’s scheduling needs.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag while on duty.
- Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Provide exceptional service to guests for all their food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Clean, clear, and reset tables as necessary.
- Prepare the buffet station, ensuring it is adequately stocked with silverware, plates, and glassware.
- Accommodate special requests from guests and offer suitable alternatives when necessary.
- Be knowledgeable of the operation of the P.O.S. system and standards for receiving room service orders.
- Greet and seat guests promptly at appropriate tables.
- Ensure the cleanliness and visual appeal of menus.
- Answer telephone calls in accordance with company standards.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of menu items and current specials in applicable departments.
- Execute cashiering functions, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
- Perform opening and closing procedures along with side work duties based on station rotation assignments.
- Maintain stocked, tidy, and clean tables and side stands.
- Remain consistently attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Familiarize yourself with the organizational structure of Aimbridge Hospitality Hotels and understand the purpose of each department.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
