The apartment maintenance team plays a crucial role in addressing all service requests as directed by the maintenance supervisor or property manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Efficiently complete apartment service requests and accurately log all assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Prepare vacant apartments through the turnover process to ensure they are ready for leasing to prospective residents.
- Maintain the grounds by ensuring they remain free of debris and trash.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents.
- Address electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, installations, and replacements in a professional manner that adheres to industry standards, which may include servicing:
- Electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses
- Light fixtures
- Installation and minor repairs of appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers
- Toilets, sinks, vanities, and disposals
- Caulking
- Minor carpentry repairs
- Window screens and blinds
- Interior and exterior doors
- Minor painting and drywall repair
- Removal of bulk trash, including appliances
- Clearing of drains and sewer lines up to 4 feet
Qualifications include:
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service.
- Previous apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
- HVAC Certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
