In the role of Asset Protection Detective, you will join our Asset Protection Security team, utilizing advanced technology and analytical tools to mitigate losses and safeguard our financial interests. Key Responsibilities:
– Employ surveillance techniques to identify and apprehend individuals engaged in theft, including external shoplifters and internal dishonest employees
– Apply de-escalation strategies to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff
– Recover stolen merchandise and effectively manage evidence collection
– Conduct research and prepare statements to support investigations
– Document incidents of theft and prepare comprehensive reports on investigations and audits
– Ensure adherence to legal standards and company policies concerning apprehensions, searches, and evidence preservation
– Develop and nurture partnerships with store personnel and external entities such as law enforcement
– Provide testimony in court for criminal and civil proceedings
– Educate colleagues on asset protection protocols
– Respond to alarm conditions and participate in special assignments
– Provide first aid assistance to customers and colleagues as needed
