In this position, your responsibilities will include:

– Applying high-quality scientific techniques in microbiological analysis throughout various stages of production, including raw ingredients, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental monitoring, ensuring all manufactured products are fit for use
– Collaborating with fellow microbiologists while demonstrating a high level of motivation and attention to detail, facilitating clear communication within the team
– Effectively prioritizing tasks to ensure accurate and timely results while fostering a team-oriented environment
– Conducting product testing, environmental assessments, and raw ingredient evaluations
– Maintaining documentation, handling project work, and troubleshooting as needed
– Performing media preparation and general laboratory housekeeping
– Promoting effective communication and teamwork within the lab

Required qualifications include:

– A high school diploma (or equivalent) alongside 1 year of relevant college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics, along with 2 years of laboratory experience, or 4 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
– Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritional products
– Experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or medical device setting, or in a hospital or medical laboratory

Preferred qualifications:

– An Associate’s degree in a science-related field, supplemented by 1 year of appropriate college lab studies and college mathematics, along with at least 1 year of related laboratory experience or 2 years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
– A Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with similar educational and experience requirements as above
