As an Assistant Project Manager (SE Michigan), you will be responsible for:
– Assisting the Project Manager in ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
– Participating in interviews and the RFP process for acquiring new work.
– Supporting the estimating team with bidding for future assigned projects.
– Developing a comprehensive understanding of project details.
– Reaching out to subcontractors to gauge their interest in upcoming projects.
– Reviewing final plans and estimates with the Project Management team and Estimator prior to submission.
– Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required monthly Project Manager review reports, while promoting the profitable and on-time execution of the project.
– Collaborating with the project team to create, review, negotiate, and process meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and requests for information.
– Conducting project closeout walk-throughs with the Owner and Architect, compiling all required closeout documentation, and verifying that all project punch list items are addressed.
– Performing customer relations duties, including conducting a 6-month project completion check with the Owner and an 11-month warranty walk-through for any outstanding issues.
– Maintaining consistent communication with clients and proactively updating them on project progress and budgetary concerns.
