The Mint Cannabis team is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager who will be responsible for motivating and mentoring a team of over 20 employees. In this role, you will inspire a group of dedicated individuals committed to fostering a welcoming environment and advancing Mint’s culture. Successful candidates will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities, high customer service standards, and effective conflict resolution skills. A Preview of Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of 25-50 individuals.
  • Oversee the dispensary environment and key business indicators to identify challenges, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach the team and implement strategies to achieve operational goals.
  • Develop and maintain a regular schedule for retail staff, including time-off requests.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere to encourage teamwork among staff.
  • Navigate challenging situations to ensure the dispensaries operate above standard.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to analyze metrics and recommend future initiatives.
  • Contribute insights to facilitate employee performance evaluations.
  • Offer assistance to colleagues in various roles as needed.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Generate reports to identify and resolve trends or issues affecting in-store performance.

Your Specific Duties:

  • Uphold quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints.
  • Responsible for conducting and completing daily sales reporting.
  • Coordinate operations, merchandising, staffing, training, rewards, disciplinary actions, and employee evaluations for the store.
  • Utilize management information tools to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate inventory audits and assess productivity and new merchandise.
  • Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes to create a team committed to delivering exceptional customer service and patient care.
  • Supervise the retail store’s daily operations, including product orders, cash handling, financial reporting, customer communication, patient education, and team management.
  • Ensure the security of the facility after hours, maintaining secure alarm and safe codes.
  • Authorize disciplinary actions and serve as a witness during employee disciplinary procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in customer service.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in the retail cannabis industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cash handling experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in inventory management.
