Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Teacher
Company: The Goddard School
Location: Lake Orion, MI
Pay: $14 – 15 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $14 to $15 for an “Assistant Teacher” role in Lake Orion, MI, is generally on the lower end of the spectrum for this position. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of May 2022, the median hourly wage for teaching assistants nationwide was around $15.90, with variations depending on location, experience, and specific job responsibilities. In Michigan, wages for similar roles are often influenced by local cost of living and market demand; however, many positions in the education sector tend to offer slightly higher compensation, particularly in suburban areas like Lake Orion. Therefore, while the offered rate may be competitive in some contexts, it may not fully align with industry standards, particularly considering the responsibilities typically associated with an assistant teacher role.
