Canton Chair Rental / Party Savvy, the leading event rental company in Stark County, is seeking an Associate Event Consultant to join our dynamic team. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who excels in building lasting client relationships. As an Associate Event Consultant, your primary focus will be on managing key accounts, ensuring seamless event coordination, and providing customized rental solutions to address client needs. From in-depth consultations to overseeing event logistics, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and driving business growth in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Engage with clients planning various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, fundraisers, and private parties, to provide the necessary rental products and solutions.
– Develop and nurture key account relationships, ensuring smooth coordination for repeat clients by fostering rapport with multiple stakeholders within each account, understanding their event preferences, and anticipating their needs.
– Conduct client consultations either in our showroom or at event sites (homes, businesses, or venues) to evaluate rental requirements, delivery logistics, and event specifications.
– Provide tailored recommendations on tent sizes, table linens, seating arrangements, lighting, and other essential event elements that align with each client’s vision.
– Acquire a basic understanding of building and fire codes pertinent to tented events to ensure compliance and informed recommendations.
– Accurately input and manage event details using rental software, diligently tracking changes and updates as planning progresses.
– Oversee multiple events concurrently, ensuring that logistics and order details are executed flawlessly.
– Maintain professional and clear communication with clients and team members via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
– Occasionally assist with event setup, teardown, delivery, and pickup as needed to facilitate seamless execution.
– Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule:
– The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; however, flexibility is expected based on client needs, and team members should be prepared to extend hours as necessary to guarantee successful event planning and execution.
– Occasional after-hours and weekend shifts may be required for client meetings, setups, or during peak seasons.

Qualifications and Requirements:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, sales, event planning, or a related field.
– Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships, particularly with key accounts.
– Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and industry professionals.
– Valid Ohio driver’s license (must meet company insurance requirements).
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with rental or CRM software is preferred.
– Strong typing skills with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
– Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple high-value accounts simultaneously.
– Ability to interpret various formats of instructions and event specifications (written, oral, diagrams, schedules).
– Solid mathematical skills (fractions, percentages, and ratios) for accurate quoting and event planning.
– Experience in upselling and closing sales through a consultative approach to meet client needs.
– Capacity to lift 40 lbs. and assist with event setups and teardowns when required.
