SUMMARY
The Repair Technician is responsible for conducting essential inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical services for automobiles and light trucks, ensuring superior customer service while adhering to all safety regulations in the use of machinery, equipment, and tools. This role also encompasses inventory management, requisitioning of stock and supplies, and assistance with facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operates tire balancers and tire machines to mount and balance tires, repair flats, conduct tire rotations, and perform diagnostic assessments to evaluate tire wear and vibration.
- Develops and maintains expertise in tire lines to efficiently manage inventory, procedures, stock inquiries, and shipping and receiving processes.
- Performs lube, oil, and filter changes and conducts visual inspections, including checks under the hood, beneath the vehicle, and with wheels off.
- Executes basic remove and replace tasks, including battery installations, filter changes, wiper blade replacements, headlamp, and bulb replacements.
- Conducts alignments and flushes of cooling systems, power steering, and transmissions with appropriate equipment.
- Performs basic diagnostics, including identifying noise or vibration issues following road tests.
- Supports facility maintenance by adhering to proper opening and closing protocols, maintaining cleanliness, and fulfilling general upkeep tasks.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS
Safely and competently operates equipment such as tire machines, balancers, lube systems, flat repair tools, lifts, impact guns, torque wrenches, tread depth gauges, grinders, micrometers, flush machines, torches, alignment racks, and all tools necessary for the Tire & Alignment Technician role.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum training required:
- Familiarity with Basic Services
- Understanding of Starting and Charging Systems

- Basic automotive diagnostic competencies
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, maintenance guidelines, and procedure manuals. Capability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS and REASONING ABILITY
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Proficient in solving practical problems and navigating various scenarios with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting instructions in multiple formats (written, verbal, or diagrammatic).
