SUMMARY
The Repair Technician is responsible for conducting basic inspections, diagnostic, and mechanical services for automobiles and light trucks. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to all necessary safety regulations during equipment and tool operation. Additionally, the technician will manage inventory, requisition supplies, and assist with facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operate tire balancer and tire machines to mount and balance tires, repair flats, perform tire rotations, and conduct diagnostic tests for tire wear and vibration.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of tire brands to effectively manage inventory, tire procedures, stock inquiries, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Conduct lube, oil, and filter changes alongside visual inspections, including under-hood, under-car, and wheel-off assessments.
  • Perform basic removal and replacement tasks, such as battery installations, filter changes, wiper blade, headlamp, and small bulb replacements.
  • Execute alignments and flushes for cooling systems, power steering, and transmissions using appropriate equipment.
  • Conduct basic diagnostics, particularly recognizing noise or vibration issues following road tests.
  • Support facility upkeep by adhering to proper opening and closing protocols, maintaining cleanliness, and completing general maintenance tasks.

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS
Safely and competently operates various equipment including a tire machine, balancer, lube equipment, flat repair tools, lifts, impact guns, torque wrenches, tread depth gauges, grinders, micrometers, flush machines, torches, alignment racks, and any other necessary tools for the Tire & Alignment Technician role.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS
