Service Advisor Responsibilities:
- Oversee service orders and manage workflow in the drive lane
- Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service experiences
- Take ownership of customers’ experiences to leave a positive impression
- Provide support for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person, ensuring customers receive consistent and attentive care
- Optimize the daily scheduling of technicians’ time to service customers effectively
- Effectively distribute work assignments among technicians
- Address technical inquiries regarding vehicle issues, warranties, services, and repairs
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems, ordering parts and tools as needed
- Manage warranty claims administration while providing training and supervision to the service department
- Set schedules and assign tasks to service department employees
- Uphold company policies and standards while encouraging regulatory compliance
- Maintain positive relationships with manufacturers and foster strong employee relations
- Collaborate with upper management in hiring and disciplinary decisions for the service department
Service Advisor Qualifications:
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Assistant Lane Manager, or Service Consultant
- High energy and enthusiasm for automotive service
