Essential Job Functions:

– Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests utilizing appropriate equipment.
– Offer product samples to enhance customer discovery of new items and address inquiries.
– Inform customers of current bakery and deli specials.
– Provide customers with freshly prepared products in accurate portion sizes to minimize shrink.
– Recommend deli and bakery items to ensure customers receive the products that meet their needs.
– Operate all bakery equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens, in accordance with company guidelines.
– Prepare foods in compliance with food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
– Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
– Prepare, package, label, and maintain inventory of ingredients accurately.
– Monitor product quality to guarantee freshness, reviewing “sell by” dates and taking appropriate actions as needed.
– Utilize kitchen equipment effectively, including stoves, computerized scales, fryers, steamers, and robot coupes.
– Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise efficiently.
– Report discrepancies in product ordering and shipping to the department manager.
– Understand the store’s layout and assist customers in locating requested products.
– Stay informed about current, seasonal, and special promotions.
