Job description:

Exhibits exceptional culinary talent by overseeing banquet food preparation staff and managing all aspects of food-related catering functions. Responsible for coordinating menus, overseeing purchasing and scheduling, and ensuring accurate food preparation and plating for all catering events. The successful candidate will deliver consistently high-quality products with an appetizing presentation while striving to enhance both guest and employee satisfaction, all within the constraints of the operating budget. Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional field; or
  • A two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, along with two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury environment is highly desirable.

  • Accurately estimates production needs for daily Banquet Event Orders.
  • Adheres to correct handling techniques and temperature standards for all food products.
  • Maintains food handling practices and storage standards.
  • Manages the Banquet Event Order process, including menu development, pricing, tracking, and ordering.
  • Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for all banquet functions.
  • Cooks and prepares a variety of foods for regular service or special occasions.
  • Recognizes the highest quality products, presentations, and flavors.
  • Supports food and beverage portion control and waste management procedures.

The salary range for this position is $69,000 to $83,000 annually, accompanied by a bonus program, comprehensive healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with up to a 5% company match, and various other incentives and supports.
