Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Manager to deliver exceptional service to our banquet clients. This role requires strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee the banquet staff and ensure a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate banquet associates to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Surpass customer expectations by promoting a culture of excellence in service and teamwork within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with the specifications outlined in the banquet event order by collaborating closely with other departments, particularly within Food and Beverage.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels and provide comprehensive training for new employees.
  • Keep accurate records for each banquet as required.
  • Uphold safety standards within the department by performing regular safety inspections and addressing any identified hazards.
  • Enforce safety rules and protocols consistently throughout the department.
  • Foster a positive working relationship with all associates to create a collaborative work environment that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of full-service banquet experience in roles such as server and setup personnel, along with prior management experience.
  • Certifications: Must meet state licensing requirements.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and ensure thorough completion of assigned tasks.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Capability to walk and stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and lift trays or food items weighing up to 30 lbs.
    • Occasionally push or pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
    • Climb steps in facilities without elevators.
